1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by TradeA EU OÜ a company with operations in Netherlands, trading as Zen Auto Import. Our registered address is Ede, Netherlands. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to TradeA EU OÜ.

2. Services

We provide vehicle sourcing, shipping, customs clearance, EU compliance, and — in selected countries — registration services for vehicles imported from Japan to the European Union. Our services include:

Vehicle sourcing from Japanese auction houses and dealers
Ocean freight and marine insurance coordination
EU customs clearance and import duty management
EU compliance modifications (lighting, speed limiter, emissions)
End-to-end registration (Netherlands, Germany and Poland only)
Inland transportation within Europe (quoted separately)

3. Quotations & Pricing

All cost estimates provided on our website or in correspondence are indicative only. Final costs depend on the specific vehicle purchased, current freight rates, applicable taxes at the time of import, and the client's destination country. We will issue a written quotation before any commitment is made.

Duty and VAT calculations are based on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) value as declared to EU customs authorities. The client is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any declared values.

4. Payment Terms

Our standard payment schedule is as follows:

Stage 1 — Deposit: 10% of the target vehicle value (minimum €2,000) is required before we bid on your behalf. This deposit is fully refunded if the bid is unsuccessful.
Stage 2 — Vehicle Payment: The full vehicle value is invoiced immediately after a successful bid and must be paid before the vehicle is released from the Japanese auction.
Stage 3 — Freight & Taxes: Shipping, marine insurance, customs duty, and VAT are invoiced separately as they fall due.
Stage 4 — Service Fee Balance: Any remaining service fee balance is due on delivery.

All payments must be made by bank transfer in Euros (EUR). We do not accept cryptocurrency or cash payments above legal thresholds.

5. Client Responsibilities

Providing accurate personal and business details for customs and registration purposes
Ensuring the vehicle is permissible to import and register in their country
Obtaining any required import permits or approvals for their specific vehicle
Arranging adequate insurance once the vehicle is in their possession

6. Liability

We act as an import agent on behalf of the client. We are not liable for delays caused by auction houses, shipping lines, customs authorities, or third-party service providers. Our maximum liability is limited to the service fees paid to us. We are not responsible for any consequential, indirect, or special losses.

Vehicle condition at auction is as described by the Japanese auction house grading system. We do not provide independent inspection unless specifically requested and paid for.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ede, Netherlands.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
